Bug Description

Hi,

I bumped wicd in Gentoo to 1.7.1b3 (well, r669 actually). Users started to upgrade and they report that network settings read from the old config are parsed wrongly: See https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391397
I can not reproduce this myself, but appearently when reading the old config a pair of square brackets is inserted around the password and ssid. Consequently the connection fails until the brackets are removed.

I can't reproduce this either, but I'm well aware of it. I will fix it before
1.7.1 final is released, even though currently I don't have any idea of what
causes it. But I will investigate further :)

Kindly,
David

Hello,
I had reported in Debian that this was somehow fixed by:

http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~wicd-devel/wicd/experimental/revision/671

I'm thus marking as "fix committed". Please set it to "Confirmed" if you can still reproduce it with latest bzr.

Thanks,
David

No complaints from Gentoo users. I'd say it is fixed. Thanks.
