I attached a bug watch to a bug in Debian also requesting a newer version of virtuoso. Normally Ubuntu will sync packages from Debian once in a while so that new packages become available. However, in this case, virtuoso has some ubuntu-specific changes (patches) which means someone will have to manually merge this package. (See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/Merging for more information on merging)

Does anyone know when we can have Virtuoso 6.1.4 in Kubuntu Oneiric ?

Virtuoso 6.1.3 has a bug that makes Nepomuk search unusable in Dolphin for foreign languages: all the filenames with an accented character are shown in the results, whatever the query.
