Bug Description
i haven't seen a similar problem reported anywhere else. lots of complaints about video being choppy but nothing about audio. also, this is universal across all flash video that i have come across. not just youtube. there is a redhat bug that linus chimes in on that may be of some assistance:

That distro have reached EOL since a while; and such problem has been resolved long time ago.
