yo frankie only shows some clouds, game doesn't start

Bug Description

On startup, yo frankie only shows some clouds accompagnied by a repeating musical motif. The only key that has
some effect is Ecsc, which closes the game.

As to this line:
warning: could not open '/usr/share/yofrankie-bge/levels/start_menu.bgeconf'

% dpkg -L yofrankie | grep bgeconf
(no results)

The zip download from the site runs fine.

I get the same behaviour from the zip download from the site, but with different errors in my console.

I think the problem is that newest blender bindings are for python3, and the game is written in python2

Using the binary from the zip works... so maybe it's packaging older BGE?
