Confirmed based on screenshot. Doesn't seem to have an obvious fix though.

Since this text is so long, I wonder, if you build several metalworks close to each other and display building titles, do those overlap as well?

yes, if you build 2 metalworks very close to each other the titles overlaps (screenshot attached)

Yes, that's what I was afraid of. Changing dialogs is probably feasible, but reworking the space between buildings will likely not happen which means longer strings will be a problem either way. (I guess we could do some hack and split long strings above buildings, but I suspect that might look ugly either way).

Since I don't know the language I just want to ask; could the text be changed to a shorter string? (If this is not feasible, then fair enough, we need to solve it in a different way.) :)

Granted, this is a problem we will run into when translating to every language on the planet, and parts of the dialog will need to change to fit better. However, at some point there should be an upper limit of how long we expect the text to be in order to set to fit in nicely. On the flip side, if we make the dialogs too wide, they will start to look strange for language with short texts. I hope we are able to reach some middle ground which will fit most cases.

Hi Hans,
we can try shortening the text, no problem.
By the way, I like the idea of splitting longer texts on more lines, at least over the buildings.

Update: This has been fixed with dynamic width in the building windows, but might still be a problem when two buildings are close to each other

I say we mark this as fixed then. :) The issue with buildings close to each other should probably be dealt with separately if someone would like to file an issue on that one.
