Bug Description

U+005C displays Yen-sign instead of backslash.
I think this is Takao font's problem,
because TakaoEx* VLGothic and others fonts are correctly display backslash.

I am confirmed this problem with:
-packages: ttf-takao (003.02.01-4ubuntu1)
-fonts: TakaoGothic,TakaoPGothic, TakaoMincho,TakaoPMincho (exclude TakaoEx*)
-program: gedit 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 11.10

[Reproduce this problem on Ubuntu]
1.Install font
  $ sudo apt-get install ttf-takao
2.Launch gedit and open test file
  $ gedit u-005c.txt
3.Change font
  Menu -Edit -Preferences -Font&Colors, and select TakaoGothic.
4.See first line
