Bug Description

Binary package hint: feisty-session-splashes

herd5 running on dell laptop xps-m140 with integrated intel card. Running 915resolution with 1200x800 setting.
GDM crashed whenever I do:
System-Preferences-Desktop Effects-"ENABLE DESKTOP EFFECT" <- when I click on this button gdm crashes everytime and presents a white screen. 'Ctrl-Alt-Bksp' restarts gdm with no problems

Can you please try to obtain a crash log by following the procedure described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash

Be sure that you install the proper dbgsym package for this crash. In this case it should be the package gdm-dbgsym.

i will need easier options to post information but this is happening to me too! Clean install of beta with updates only from GUI update update manager.
