Could you please post permissions for autostart directory (the output of 'ls -la ~/.config/autostart' would be great)?

oddly this morning when I started my computer the indicator icon was up on the indicators area .
Not sure what happened .
I had restarted and made many tests before also...

I suppose, you were running indicator from root, not your local user?

nops,
I have made a fresh install of 11.10 (applied all updates)
installed indicator-weather
rebooted the icon was not showing
tried to run indicator-weather from the dash, not working, so I made the test from the terminal which is pasted on the bug, which you can see its my non-privileged user
it's fully working now, but not sure we can try to reproduce this one

This might be a first-time usage only, I'll try to reproduce it
