Bug Description

Binary package hint: freeimage

Availability: Currently in universe
Rationale: qemu-kvm wants to use spice which depends on freeimage
Security: No security history
Quality Assurance: Package works out of the box with no prompting. There are no major bugs in Ubuntu and there are no major bugs in Debian.
Standards Compliance: FHS and Debian Policy compliant.
Maintenance: Server team has opened debian bug 649541 to bring the debian package back in sync with the (newer) Ubuntu one, to eliminate our delta.
Dependencies: All are in main

we do keep qemu-kvm-spice in universe. you need to add the dependency in this package, no need for a MIR from my point of view.

the server team should make sure that changes to qemu-kvm are considered for qemu-kvm-spice as well.

I don't understand - we don't want to keep qemu-kvm-spice at all. We want to enable spice in the qemu-kvm that is in main. To do that we need the dependencies in main.
