Bug Description

I have tried to installed in my computer but I have had many problems with some libraries and I do not know how to resolve them.
I think that the problem is that I have ubuntu 11.10, the last one, and perhaps is too new.

When I try to install kxstitch, it needs kdelibs4c2a and libmagick10, but kdelibs4c2a looks for libcuspsys2 instead of libcups2, and libmagick10 looks for libgraphviz4 instead of libgraphviz-deb.
Do you know any way to install the program in ubuntu 11.10?

You'll need the following packages:
kdelibs4c2a_3.5.10.dfsg.1-5ubuntu2_i386.deb
kdelibs5-data_4.6.5-0ubuntu1.1_all.deb
kdelibs-data_3.5.10.dfsg.1-5ubuntu2_all.deb
kxstitch_0.8.3.1-1ubuntu3_i386.deb
libavahi-qt3-1_0.6.30-0ubuntu2_i386.deb

Do a search on each of those in launchpad and grab the i386 binaries - some are only available from lucid.

Once those are installed using dpkg -i, an apt-get -f install at the end will hopefully install any other packages it requires.

Thanks for reporting.

I assume the underlying issue in this bug is that kxstitch had been removed from Ubuntu during the 11.04 cycle due to depending on older kde3 libraries (see https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kxstitch/+publishinghistory or bug 727386 for details). The good news is that kxstich has been readded to the Ubuntu archives and is available in 17.04 and later. Thus I believe this to be resolved, now that the package is easily installable again :)
