Bug Description

I am attempting to mount my iPod via Ubuntu 10.04. I have installed all the required files and libraries. I have been on several forums and have not found a fix. I am attempting to mount it through the terminal since Hipo and Rythombox will not recognize it. I can get everything I need up to the point of mounting I type: ifuse /mnt/ipod. I get the error "Failed to connect to lockdownd service on the device. Try again. If it still fails try rebooting your device." I cannot find anything on the lockdownd service that helps me out.
My iPod is recognized in my top bar but it will not load any songs. My thoughts are it is partially recognized by Rythombox, but as stated before, i cannot access anything on my iPod. This seems like a bug to me since I cannot find any work arounds.

Ubuntu: 10.04.03 LTS
Release: 10.04

ifuse:
  Installed: 1.1.1-1ubuntu1~lucid1
  Candidate: 1.1.1-1ubuntu1~lucid1
  Version table:
