Bug Description

The mouse pointer, normal arrow doesnt appear when I start my system. I have to logout and then login again, and then everything is fine.

I havent set a default password and thus directly my desktop appears after starting the system, and pointer doesnt appear until i log out and again login to my user account. I think this might be the only scenario in which this problem occurs. If i have set the default password so that I had to enter password whenever I start my machine, this problem wouldn't be there.

I have attached screenshots for reference i hope the problem might be visible, I lost other snapshots i took, will take them more when problem reoccurs ( it will be easy since it occurs everytime I start the system )

Thank

Regards,
KK

Blackbug, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-evdev REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
