Bug Description
I found a couple of instances where the user guide is giving wrong instructions:
The guide says:
Click the icon at the far top right of the screen and select System Settings.
In the Personal section, select Startup Applications.
Uncheck the GNOME Login Sound option.
But in fact when one goes to System Settings there is no Startup Application entry. Instead it's located in the menu, which appears when user clicks on the top right icon.
The guide says:
Disable the login sound for all users
Click the icon at the far top right of the screen and select System Settings.
In the System section, select Login Screen.
Click Unlock and enter your password into the popup authentication window.
Uncheck the Play login sound option.
But there is no "Login screen" option in the section System. I am not sure where to find this option.

As of Oneiric, Display settings shows up in the same menu as System Settings. The first paragraph should say
It should read "Click the icon at the far top right of the screen and select Startup Applications.
Uncheck the GNOME login sound option.
It seems that changing startup applications for all users has been made a lot more difficult in 11.10, and as the login sound isn't in the /etc/xdg/autostart folder I'm guessing that this sound would need to be disabled for each user individually.
