I have seen this many times. The solution is usually to change SD card (go to a faster class), re-seat the card in the slot or run the l-a-m-c again.

Right now snowball android builds are using the 3.0 kernel with a brittle mmc/emmc driver. STE is currently working on a 3.1 kernel that has a new and improved driver.

Sounds like a combination of slow MMC and the card. I suggest we blame the card now until 3.2 is running and then test it again.

I guess we are now talking about getting this confirmed on the 3.3 kernel ..

Importance will be set if confirmed and re-tested with the 3.3 kernel used for 12.03 release, (will be done by Abhishek).
