Bug Description

I hope this wasn't already posted but here it goes....

When using the volume control on my keyboard it brings up a notification kind of like (dare I say it) Mac OS X with the grey square and the icon for volume and the little bar below that..

The problem is not only is the square HUGE (well I think its too big..) it also looks like im using a super low res icon (my resolution is 1920x1080)

I'm using LM 12 RC fully updated

Attached is a screenshot of the issue. I solved this problem by opening Advanced Settings -> Theme and changing my icon theme.

It doesn't seem to matter too much which one you switch to. I switched from Mint X to Gnome default back to Mint X restarting gnome after each time and now it appears to be fine.

A friend's laptop had the issue on Mint X-Dark and switched to Mint X and it solved the issue without restarting gnome.

It looks like there are some icons missing in the Mint-X-Dark icons folder.

Copying the 32, 48 and scalable folders from /usr/share/icons/Mint-X/status/ to /usr/share/icons/Mint-X-Dark/status/ and rebooting seems to solve the problem.

I wouldn't mind doing that myself but come on stuff like this should either be patched in an update or be working right out of the box (ok well...right off the cd/dvd...what ever).

This is, regrettably, still not fixed in the latest version of Mint 12.
