kde freezes trying to switch user with dualhead setup

KDE freezes when I try to switch user when the attached xorg.conf.disfunctional is installed in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

Also attached is xorg.conf.functional which is a non-dualhead conf file which works for user switching.

My laptop quit working and I haven't replaced it so I'm no longer
running kde or a dual head setup.

I can't say that the bug is fixed, but it isn't bothering me any more
and I can't help diagnose any more.
