Bug Description

My Microsoft Notebook Mouse 5000 (which is a Bluetooth Mouse) is lagging a lot in 2 cases:

-On heavy WiFi traffic
-More Bluetooth Devices are connected, e.g. a phone.

This problem occurs on a Dell Vostro 1520 with a bluetooth dongle:
ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

And also on the Dell Precision M4400 with BT device:
ID 0a5c:4500 Broadcom Corp. BCM2046B1 USB 2.0 Hub (part of BCM2046 Bluetooth)

While BT Mouse lags, touchpad works normally.

Actually, i don't know where the problem comes from. but i think it's bluez.
to me, this bug is critical, because very annoying.

I hope it gets fixed soon, because new users to ubuntu could be frightend off because of bugs like this.
The Mouse works fine under Windows XP and 7, regardless of the points above.
I'm using Oneiric 64bit, but this happened also on Natty x86 and i think on Maverick x86 as well.

I recently bought a new Bluetooth Mouse, because the old one was broken.
Still have the same annoying issue on a Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse.
I hope this will going to be fixed some day...

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report against it and we will take it from there.
