Bug Description

I'm really not sure about the package name, but no way to easily find out (that I know of) which package is actually misbehaving.

What happens is:
When I try to shut down the system, it logs off instead. Clicking shut down on the subsequently shown login screen shows terminal output quickly (too quickly to make out) and ends up back in the login screen.

Possibly related:
When I try to log in with fingerprint authentication, the same happens. (FP auth succeeds -> Log in button appears, when clicked ->terminal output -> log in screen again) When I let the fingerprint auth time out, everything is just peachy.

Platform is Lenovo X220, running Ubuntu 11.10, all updates run.
Disk is encrypted LVM.

I'll be happy to provide any log files, but will need instructions on how to produce them.
