Bug Description

For a CD less install, I downloaded vmlinuz and initrd.gz from
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/installer-amd64/current/images/hd-media/

I got the amd64 iso image from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntustudio/releases/11.10/release/ and the checksums match

The install is able to mount the iso image after booting. However, installing the base system fails

Debootstrap error failed to determine the codename for the release
