Bug Description

There is no way to directly access the menus in the panel, like the power, network, sound and me menus using a keyboard. Like the Dock and application menus I expected the panel to be accessible without using a mouse.

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and Unity 4.24.0-0ubuntu2b1.

You can use F10 to open the menu. If you press left, the session indicator get focus. I don't think the indicators deserve a special keyboard shortcut.

You are right, Marco! That really helps a lot.

I knew about the shortcut, but never considered that the application menu shortcut could be used to access indicators. Indicators are a completely different thing, so on my part it does deserve a special keyboard shortcut. F10 definately makes it usable though.

On the other hand, some people would find it usefull - especially for messaging menu, that gets lots of traffic and interaction at least on my system.

Closing as alt+f10 does the job. If you want to focus directly the indicators (not the menus) there is no such shortcut. Closing.
