--disable-nls flag for configure doesn't work

It is not mentioned in configure.ac, looks like it is not handled at all

Looks like it should be handled automatically:

--disable-nls is one of the automatically added configure options. It is
not provided by our configure.ac but by the autotools themselves.

To fix it I'd suggest trying these:

1.) Try rerunning autogen.sh
2.) Try another autoconf version

Honestly I don't feel like urge to change this, based on the amount of code needed in somebody else's code.

If anybody has a strong need for this functionality, please clarify what makes it important to you.
For now, I am closing this bugreport. If necessary, I'll reopen it when needed.
