Bug Description

I am using Linux Mint 12 RC and have chosen Mate as my desktop.

Unfortunately there is no way to change audio volume in Mate. This is because the package mate-volume-control is missing.

A workaround for me is to use xfce4-volumed, which enables the special function keys of my laptop. Stil, I would like to see the current audio setting in my task bar.

When I downloaded the latest updates for Mint 12 RC just a few minutes ago and logged off and logged in again a volume control appeared :)

The process list shows :
2452 ? Sl 0:00 mate-volume-control

Which belongs to the package "mate-media"

So this bug is fixed, methinks.
