Binary package hint: ffmpeg
ffmpeg -i infile -acodec aac produces:
unknown codec 'aac'

Thanks for your bug report.
Enabling AAC support in ffmpeg would need to move it to multiverse section, and all packages which depend on it, as explained in Bug #6366.
