Dash considers names with a dot as urls

Dash earner a nonexistent one xy.txt onto a file opens Firefox up. (On all of them *.txt responds to a file so)
(The txt files default his handler the gedit program.)

I can confirm this issue. Searching for any string with letters and one dot suggests to open a web browser.
The normal behaviour will be to associate browser only with known top-level domains (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Internet_top-level_domains).
