Bug Description

Installing Linux Mint 11 Gnome and after selecting language the following Installer crashed message displayed with request to file a new bug.

File"/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/gtkwidgets.py", line 398, in do_set_property
self.label.set_text(value)
TypeError: Gtk.Label.set_text() argument 1 must be string. not None

Was attempting install on Maxtor HD Formatted Fat32 without anything on it.

After a couple more of the same crash messages, I used a GParted disk (iso from CNET) and switched FAT32 to ext4 and pre-set partitions used fror Linux Mint primary and logical.

After that formatting and partitioning first the installation ran as expected without any additional problems.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 889714

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
