Dell Studio Hybrid X3100 graphics do not work - nomodeset and VESA is the only option

Tried both 11.04 and 11.10 installs - both require nomodeset to see any desktop graphics. It appears that only the VESA driver works.

A 965gm with HDMI, that's different. Can you please confirm the problem still occurs on uptodate drivers, and we'll begin digging from there.

@Chris - I believe the problem has been rectified - both 12.04 and 12.10 work great with the Hybrid... I think we can close this one out... thanks!!
