Bug Description

linux mint 11 (katya)

Package: popularity-contest
Installed: 1.51ubuntu1

Package: synaptic
Installed: 0.75.1ubuntu2

Both Ubuntu and Mint (Katya) have the package "popularity-contest" installed by default. In Ubuntu, this package can be enabled by selecting the "Submit statistical information" checkbox in the Statistics tab of Synaptic's Software Sources (see screenshot). However, I have been unable to find such a tab in Mint's Synaptic.

The popularity contest (popcon) project is an attempt to map the usage of Debian packages. On this basis, it should be useful for Mint usage of these packages to be included in popcon statistics.
