Recipe fails with "bzr: ERROR: No such tag: upstream-3.0.0"

The following recipe fails:

# bzr-builder format 0.3 deb-version 3.0.0-12.{time}
lp:~diwic/alsa-driver/daily-oneiric
nest tiwai-trunk lp:~ubuntu-audio-dev/alsa-driver/tiwai-driver-build.git updates/alsa-driver
nest backport-patches lp:~ubuntu-audio-dev/alsa-driver/tiwai-trunk updates/alsa-kernel

With this error:

bzr: ERROR: No such tag: upstream-3.0.0

Note: if you change the first line from "3.0.0-12" to "3.0.0.12" the recipe build works, so it probably has something to do with dashes in version numbers? (However that makes the kernel build scripts fail later instead, so it's not a suitable workaround for me)
