Synapse is unable to open Tomboy notes

I have "zeitgeist-datasource-tomboy" installed, and if I type the title of a Tomboy note it appears in Synapse as it should. However, when I hit enter it does not open the note. Nothing seems to happen, save for this message appearing:
[17:59:32.215239 Warning] The specified location is not supported

I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and Synapse 0.2.8.2.

Ideally Tomboy should install a handler for the tomboy:// uris.

This happened with synapse 0.2.8.2 bzr483~natty1 on ubuntu natty.This bug is still present in ubuntu 12.04.The note uri format is note://tomboy/NOTE_ID. Is there something wrong with the format? Surprisingly When using gnome-activity journal , it shows the same note uri format & it opens the tomboy note without any problem.
