Bug Description

Popper is an app for Unity, not for gnome shell. so I added this line:

AutostartCondition=UNITY

at the end of this file:

/home/legluondunet/.config/autostart/popper.sh.desktop

for popper only load in Unity, not gnome.
But the result is that popper doesn't start at all, some idea about that problem?

[Desktop Entry]Type=ApplicationExec=/usr/share/popper/popper.shHidden=falseNoDisplay=falseX-GNOME-Autostart-enabled=trueName=PopperComment=Email notifier for the indicator menuOnlyShowIn=Unity;
AutostartCondition=UNITY

Thanks for your help.

Well, if you modify Popper and it does not work as you thought, you should not report this as a bug.
I don't know why it does not behave as you expected. Popper is written for Ubuntu Standard (Unity) because it requires the indicator and notify libraries. I've actually tested Popper also with Ubuntu Gnome-Shell: it does not crash and the desktop-display works very well. Of course the indication in the messaging menu and the bubble notification do not work because they don't exist in Gnome-Shell. So what's your point? I don't understand what you try to achieve.

Changed in popper:
status: New → Invalid

Sometimes I'm using Unity, sometimes I'm using gnome-shell. When I'm using gnome-shell, I don't want popper start because it isn't fully compatible, it doesn't crash but it isn't very usefull in this situation.
But I finally found a way to do that, I added this line:

OnlyShowIn=Unity;

at the end of this file:

/home/user_home_name/.config/autostart/popper.sh.desktop

Now Popper launch only in Unity.
For me it's a bug to launch an application wich is not fully compatible with gnome-shell.
Your extension is very good, I'm happy to use it in Unity but that's not the point, perhaps you should add this line in the branch development for other users? There is no reason to launch Popper on gnome shell until you make it fully compatible with it, isn't it?

Thanks for your very good work.
