Bug Description
If an app is added to the "Startup Applications" applet (so it is started during login), Gnome3 (and Unity) do not add that the icons to the system tray icons when it starts on login. However, if starting it normally, after login process is complete, the icons do appear. Previous Gnome version worked fine, and this was not an issue in Natty or Maverick. This only started occuring when Gnome3 (and Unity) started to be used.
NOTE: this issue also occurs in Gnome3's Gnome Classic.
Examples of apps where this has been seen: Skype, TweetDeck.
