[Kubuntu 11.10] LibreOffice icons are missing from taskbar

In kubuntu 11.10 the generic X icon is used in the taskbar entries for all of the LibreOffice aps instead of app specific one.

When opening any libreoffice document, the icon in the taskmanager turns into an "x". WHen the program is loading, the correct icon is present, but when it is fully loaded, the icon reverts to the "x".

Things I have tried:
1. changing icon themes and testing. It seems to have no effect on which icon theme is used.
2. reinstalling libreoffice. no effect.
3. removing and replacing taskmanager.
4. using smooth-tasks instead (same results).

launch any libreoffice file.

The attached screenshot shows smooth-tasks, however, the same results are seen with the standard task-manager.

Confirmed too after upgrade to Kubuntu 11.10 (KDE 4.7.2).

It seems to be Kubuntu-specific bug in LibreOffice, rather than a general bug in Plasma. Installing LIbreOffice from the debs from the official website seems to fix this issue. I have opened a bud in the launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/886734

Uninstalling libreoffice-kde package solves this bug, but obviously leave us without kde integration.

I did uninstall libreoffice-kde ('sudo apt-get remove libreoffice-kde'), and the bug was still present(X server icon still displayed in the task bar instead of the regular libreoffice writer icon) ... do I have to insert the --puge in the command line ?

Same problem on my AMD64 machines after upgrading to Oneiric.

FWIW, the OP noted that this appears to be a Kubuntu-specific bug, not a bug in Plasma:

 So all the confirmations are from kubuntu users. I can't reproduce the problem using other distributions. Actually I even fail to reproduce it using kubuntu 12.04.
