Bug Description

One of my Myth frontend boxes contains a Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440 card that requires the 96.43.xx legacy drivers.

An online update failed (video scrambled) so I downloaded the ISO and burnt an install CD.

The install seemed to go well. I selected the Nvidia driver for TV out (composite video and PAL B).

On completion, the box started with no display apart from the PC splash screen at the beginning.

I used safe mode to get a command prompt where I found that no nvidia drivers were installed.

I fixed the problem by ssh into the box from another machine, running the graphical control centre and installing the drivers from there.

It seems there's a bug in the installer that doesn't recognise legacy nvidia cards and install the correct drivers.

We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that upstream believes this to be fixed in the latest version. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in the latest version?

Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer versions.
