Bug Description

Repeatable always: Usb keyboard does not work when cryptsetup asks password to open encrypted disk in early phase of boot.

Expected: It should be possible to enter pass phrase to unlock encrypted disk

Ubuntu 11.10, initramfs-tools 0.99ubuntu7.

As a solution I added lines
hid
usbhid

to /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and executed
update-initramfs -u

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I checked Ubuntu 23.10 and hid and usbhid are included in the initramfs:

$ lsinitramfs /boot/initrd.img-6.5.0-10-generic | grep -E "/(usb)?hid\.ko"
usr/lib/modules/6.5.0-10-generic/kernel/drivers/hid/hid.ko.zst
usr/lib/modules/6.5.0-10-generic/kernel/drivers/hid/usbhid/usbhid.ko.zst

So I assume this issue fixed. Please report back if that is not the case.
