Unable to download softwares from ubuntu software center 11.10

Even though internet connection is there if i try to download any software through ubuntu software center it is throwing an error "Failed to connect" and please check your internet connection

This defect should be resolved as soon as possible. Because most of the users were unable to download the softwares from Software Center in Ubuntu 11.10.
