Bug Description

Search input box size for Firefox 7.01 differs between a WIN7 Firefox 7.01 and any Ubuntu on 11.04 and 11.10 same version. Note, Chrome on all Ubuntus show box right size. See http://www.guardian-angels.org

The problem is a form with a size=20 in FF results in much extra padding at the end of the text box (see attached). This padding does not exist in FF 7.01 on Win7 or in Chrome on Ubuntu.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, the visual appearances you are describing aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use.
