Bug Description

i have via onboard sound (snd_via82xx)

when i tried to play audio (mp3, ogg, video files) gstreamer tells me that it
"can not open source for writing" in both rhythmbox and totem.

i fixed this problem by running "gstreamer-properties" as user and setting the
output to "osssink device=/dev/dsp1"

when running gstreamer-properties, it still tells me that "/dev/dsp no such
device", but i can play audio"

Please run "aplay -l" from a terminal and send us the output.

I think this is probably another instance of bug #8050
