Bug Description

After I installed 11.10, network manager does not automatically connect to known wifis.

Also, appearently it has deleted all my connection profiles.

My upgrade procedure was/is this:
1: tar -cf /home with root in single user mode.
2: Store home.tar on a remote server.
3: Install a fresh 11.10 install.
4: In single user mode: mv /home /home-old ; tar -xf home.tar

I'm experiencing a similar bug after I did upgrade to 11.10 from 11.04 with `do-release-upgrade`. None of my connection profiles are missing, but Network Manager doesn't automatically connect to my Wifi network even though it worked perfectly in all previous versions of Ubuntu. Also, if I run "sudo iwlist scan" network manager connects almost instantly.
