Hello all,

I upgrade the system from 8.04 to 11.10 a few weeks ago. Since then the sound, when I play either from the browser (firefox) or a CD, have a lot of distortion.

Please ask me anything I should post to let you know about the problem. I am quite inexpert in Linux.

Any help would be welcomed! R

There might be a bug here, but context in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+question/176592 indicates that the intent was to ask this as a question. So I am converting this to a question. If during the course of investigating this matter it is determined that there is a bug, then a new bug report should be filed.
