banshee sorts track numbers by random

Banshee sorts track numbers more or less by random as you can see in the screenshot. I don't know what banshee uses but thats not even string sort.

Banshee groups albums together. Could you post a full screenshot please?

Sure. There you have a screenshot of the album view. Maybe i look into that issue myself later.

I think I've seen this before, and its due to the id tags not being set correctly, somehow that works fine on rhythmbox though...

I think I used grip to rip the CD back then but the id3v1 tags look fine to me:
