To do so, install kcm-qt-graphicssystem , go to systemsettings , open qt-graphicssystem tab, and select native, instead of raster, and re-login

Seems to be KWin issue. Does it happen with applications different from Chrome?

@Dmitri , it's somewhere between kwin, qt and drivers. I have the same graphics card , and experience the same issue while compositing is turned on and raster graphicssystem is used - on my Arch installation.

Is that kde-config-qt-graphicssystem and default (X11/XRender) ? Just done that, I'll report back.

OK, I tried the following:

I changed to default and that fixed the problem.
I changed to opengl and the screen was unusable.
I changed back to default and the windows were fine.
I changed to raster and the windows are fine.

I'll keep it at raster and see what happens.
All the windows seem to be fine.

Thanks
