Launchpad profile URL doesn't work as OpenID on disqus

I'm trying to login with my launchpad account through OpenID at http://www.jonobacon.org/2011/10/17/mini-leadership-summit-at-the-ubuntu-developer-summit/ to be able to post a comment. I can clearly see that it should work(it did one hour ago for another launchpad user) but the information I found at https://help.launchpad.net/YourAccount/OpenID seems to be out of date. When I try to use the https://launchpad.net/~christoffer-holmstedt link I get "Unfortunately, we could not initiate OpenID process. Please, close this window and try again." error from Disqus.

If anyone can guide me to the correct way of using OpenID with Launchpad as provider I would be really grateful.

The immediate issue was resolved by the user in the related question by using login.launchpad.net as his OpenID. We still need to discover why this didn't work with his LP profile URL, though, as it should have worked.

As my question become a bug I will add further details.

It might be so that my problem is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-identity-provider/+bug/637968 as I vaguely remember that I changed my emailadress in launchpad from my former [e-mail] to [e-mail]. Both are still listed under my profile->email settings but the [e-mail] address no longer works because I have cancelled the subscription for that domain.

Should I have changed my emailadress somewhere else aswell?

I'm having similar issue using Firefox 8 on ubuntu: i cant login on launchpad:

when i validate my mail_address & password, i get an error saying: "your page was unused", try again (profile ~9d9)
