Bug Description

When doing certain actions with qbzr, a giant window (many times wider than the display) is opened causing the X server and/or Compiz to become unresponsive.

An easy way to reproduce is using "Revert to this revision" from the qlog window.

Looks very similar to (fixed) bug 805303.

Can you please remove qbzr settings (probably located in ~/.qbzr/ or ~/.config/) and check if this issue still exists?

Interestingly when I started with metacity, the window was reset to a sane size and the problem with the "revert" dialog was no longer visible. I was also having the same issue with qdiff but it "fixed itself".

I removed ~/.bazaar/qbzr.conf and windows defaulted to a sane size. Even by setting the window wider 2 or 4 times the width of the display didn't reproduce it. I guess it's possible it was trying to open some insane sized window (shame there was nothing unusual in qbzr.conf when I looked this morning).

The problem was that Qt set huge size of a window, and it was saved in qbzr settings. It's exactly the same issue as in bug 805303.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in qbzr (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

This still happens to me even after removing ~/.bazaar/qbzr.conf
It happens every time I use bzr qdiff or qlog.
I am on ubuntu quantal (12.10) and running qbzr 0.22.2-1

What you're seeing is bug #1005677. As a work around run qbzr commands like `LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 bzr qlog` for now.
