Bug Description

PROBLEM

Using the compiz scale plugin to display all open windows, then clicking on one of those windows, sometimes causes a hyperlink in the clicked-on window to open in the web browser. This is because the mouse cursor is over a hyperlink when the window comes up, and that hyperlink is automatically toggled even though the user did not click on it.

AFFECTED APPS THAT I KNOW OF

* Evolution
* Pidgin
* Tomboy

HOW TO REPRODUCE

1. Use compiz-config to turn on the scale plugin.
2. Create a Tomboy note filled with hyperlinks. Maximize it to fill the screen.
3. Use scale, and click on the Tomboy note such that your mouse cursor is over a hyperlink.
4. Watch your web browser immediately pop up and take precedence over the note.
5. For proper effect, repeat steps 3-4 several times.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Hyperlinks will not trigger unless the user wishes them to.

As a general case, should clicks on windows when the windows are in a switcher *ever* be passed through to the application?

I have the same problem, but with buttons. Clics should indeed never be passed to applications.
