Sending as email won't auto-attach

When I try to select "Send as..." and then "Email", it opens up Thunderbird, but there is no attachment. This is counterproductive because one expects the document just scanned to be attached in the email, opposed to what's happening currently.

Does this happen with Evolution or KMail as well? Or might it be Thunderbird problem?

It works with Evelution !
It does not work with Oneiric default Thnderbird, even the latest ver. 8.0!!

Ok, this is not a problem with Simple Scan, but rather an issue with Thunderbird. Thunderbird is explicitly declining to accept attachments via mailto: links. There is a workaround in xdg-utils (xdg-email is used to send emails with the preferred mail client). I am closing this bug / marking it as a duplicate of the relevant bug.
