Bug Description

System: Ubuntu 11.10 with both the gnome desktop and the xfce desktop installed, fully updated

Start the system as Xubuntu, that is, with the xfce desktop

Since upgrading Ubuntu from 11.04 to 11.10, KPatience (kpat) is missing its Menu bar. As a result, things like Preferences can no longer be set, Help is no longer available, and Exit from the File menu is no longer accessible.

The documentation of KPatience does not describe this event, and there appears no obvious way to restore the Menu bar.

Hi
Could you please try and press Ctrl+M , Most apps in KDE use this shortcut to show/hide the menubar

Hi Rohan
Thanks for your reply. I tried Ctrl+M, and just about any other keyboard combination with Ctrl and with Alt, but none restores the menu bar.

Hello folks

I decided to test this out in a V_Box build. In Trusty 14.04 with Xubuntu desktop installed this problem does not occur, Kpatience runs perfectly, see screen capture.

I have updated this to Fixed, as the bug report is very outdated, and during testing the problem no longer presents.
