I can confirm this bug,

I was playing around with the sound controls to boost my mic volume, and now the input connector is not changing from line-in, plus changing the output connector doesn't do anything.

I have even installed pluseAudio Volume controller, and it did nothing anything like the sound controller.

I can also confirm this BUG.

In my case the "Output volume" slider doesn't have any effect over output.
Application-specific controls still work fine.

I confirm this bug as well, in my case the input - connector will always falls back onto "Analogue Line-in" so I can't use my microphone anymore. Anybody know how to change this setting manually? Thanks.
