Bug Description

Every time I try to drag/drop a text file (php mostly, but CSS/HTML will do it too) into gedit with another document already open, it crashes gedit.
It seems to not be able to open the drag/dropped document in a new tab as it previously did.

I would like to also note I am NOT using Unity in Ubuntu 11.10 and have disabled it through the compiz configuration, which I'm not sure if that has any effect or not, but I cannot stand Unity's interface and I've resorted to using the Gnome Classic interface, which as I understand it is running upon Gnome 3.
I have tried rebooting and I have not had any luck as it continues to crash every time a document is dropped upon an existing one. Thanks!
