Bug Description

I do not think any user can purchase and *apply* a commercial subscription.

I have purchased 10-15 vouchers in the last 2 weeks, and Launchpad does not know this. I do not have any vouchers to apply to Canonical commercial projects. I see that other canonical staff who can also get vouchers have not been applying vouchers to their projects. Looking at the growing list of commercial projects, I believe the problem started before 2011-10-11.

This kind of problem has happened in the past. It was discovered that there were delays in processing salesforce data from the Canonical store. There was also an API change in the past that broken Launchpad.

Users are reporting issue in Lp Answers too. We need someone on the maintenance squads to look at recent changes to Launchpad to locate errors between Lp and salesforce. Someone must talk to ISD about recent changes to sales force since the last two outages were cause by changes outside of Lp.

James sent me a list that confirm they have a record of my purchases on the 11, 12, 22 of this month.
I think the next step is to verify that Lp is talking to the salsesforce gateway to collect the vouchers.

ISD has confirmed that new records in Salesforce were being created with the OpenID field unpopulated. This broke the proxy methods we use as the OpenID is the selector for the queries.

The voucher openid field wasn't being set in Salesforce, which is what caused the problem. This has been caused by a change in the shop import. We'll get a report of the affected records and plan how we will update the records. The shopimport will be fixed today.

Fixed the affected records and the shopimport has been changed to ensure that the field is set.

Will need to check why the new field did not update the old field.

Can the affected records be fixed again. I am missing 10 vouchers. There is a queue of unlicensed projects, some owned by OEM.

Curtis -

We don't believe that the issue is the same as before are you able to give me some examples where they are not showing up.

For info I have attached a CSV which shows all the Commercial Licences we have in salesforce which have been added during this quarter.

Thanks

Neil

My last 2 purchases of subscriptions has not appeared on https://launchpad.net/~sinzui/+vouchers I should have 10 vouchers. OEM usually provide their own vouchers for their projects, but as of December, their projects were registered without vouchers.

The csv you sent does not include my purchases in November and December.

Hi Curtis

I have had a look on the shop feed and can't see any purchases that you
have made there either https://pastebin.canonical.com/57039/

Were they purchased via the shop as you usually do? If so do you have
any other info dates etc?

Thanks

Neil

I do not know I have purchased. I tried to purchase again to take a
screencap to prove it. Instead I got an error. This may relate to the
special offer I do not want being added to an order when I am also
redeeming a voucher

Because the shop is trying to offer a free gift (mug etc) we are unable to complete the shop transaction with the discount code. In the short term I have manually created 5 licences (as Curtis requested) by cloning an existing asset and taking an available licence key and updating the licence key number. We will need to look at a longer term solution if this offer is to continue in the shop
