pressing down once in launcher/search does not highlight any result (you have to press down twice)

Bug Description

Ubuntu 11.10 (release 11.10), 64bit desktop

How to reproduce: press super ("start"), enter "terminal", press down.

Expected: highlights the first result.

What happened: puts focus onto something hidden, which does not respond to enter/left/right.

Workaround: pressing down twice.

Maybe this is a papercut; it's likely quick to fix, and something that the average user (at least those who use the keyboard to launch things) encounters multiple times every day.
